Where has July gone? Today is the 7th of August and the air is horrible, because of the fires in California. I can’t see the mountains and I have not been able to walk for the last 2 days because of the bad air. I do miss my walks. I did go swimming yesterday morning and last Tuesday with Nancy. I love swimming and I love my walks. Every season here brings beautiful colors and I love exploring and seeing what is growing now.
We bought ourselves two kayaks in Costco and enjoyed going to the Tibble Fork Reservoir. The only problem is I can’t go by myself as the kayak is too heavy for me to carry and put on top of our car. David has been in England for the last 2 1/2 weeks and I only managed to go once with my granddaughter Amelia and dog Charlie. David is already coming back next Tuesday. Time flies. I enjoyed time with the grandchildren and I had fun organizing things in the house.
Dixie, Vera and Violet have been in a show called Matilda, they were so good!! We went to see them twice-amazing. I enjoyed a reception wedding here in Alpine. A friend from East Grinstead, England ward got married here. The reception was fun, with Polynesian dancing and singing – I love it! One Friday I had lunch out with Rebekah and John – thank you. We also had a fun Sommer Christmas day (incase family members are sick in December Christmas). We had such fun.
I just have to mention the Delta variant that is taking over America at the moment. So sad for what is happening now in America and in the world. Viruses, fires, floods (in Germany). Stay strong people!
I am grateful for nature and people who care.
