The secret to living longer?

  • Evita

I have been reading this saying for about a year. I printed it out and hang it in my kitchen. I have pondered it, talked about it and discussed it with others. This saying speaks to me and I would like to live by it. I realized that it is easy to ponder it, talk about it and discuss it, but much harder to put into practice. How does one change a life style? It is not easy. I admire people who have done it, but found that most people have a reason for changing. Often it is related to either bad health that they have or a relative. I have always been interested in learning about health and improving how I live. I have given presentations in church and work places about how to live a balanced life, emotional wellbeing and healthy eating. I learned that it can be confusing as there are so many opinions and diets out there. I have concluded that you and I have to decide what is best for you and me. I come to the conclusion that everything we do has to do with balance. I believe fresh, organic products are the best, little meat, but only from grass fed animals. Real food is best, like nuts, seeds, foods that we have grown ourselves. Processed foods and sugars are to be avoided.
